Festive Walk - Muckross Peninsula (28th Dec 2025)
Michael and Niall are local historians with a love of nature and the outdoors and they will interpret the flora, fauna and the geology of the area.
They are natural storytellers and will take you on a journey to remember. May take up to 2.5 hours.

We will take a flat circular walk on a dirt track and paved road. We follow the Arthur Young Trail, following the peninsula taking in two of Killarney’s stunning lakes (Muckross Lake and Lough Leane). We will then follow the path to Dinis Cottage and take the low-level path onto the north face of Torc to the finish.
Footwear -please use comfortable walking shoes or boots, deisgned for tracks and trails of mixed terrain.
Clothing - please wear outdoor walking clothing that is suitable for all weathers. Bring along rain layers in your rucksack even if the outlook looks good - the weather is very changeable and we want you to be comfortable. Avoid jeans as they are very uncomfortable when wet.
Rucksack - handy for yuor essential items.
Food / Drink - we will stop for a rest break so please bring along your own water / drinks, and whatever snacks / fruit you wish to bring along too.
