Festive Walk - Tomie's Wood (27th Dec 2025)
Michael and Niall are local historians with a love of nature and the outdoors and they will interpret the flora, fauna and the geology of the area.
They are natural storytellers and will take you on a journey to remember. May take up to 2.5 hours.
Tomie’s Wood, Killarney
Distance: 9km Loop Walk
Difficulty: Easy / Moderate
Terrain: Forestry roads – some steps to O’Sullivan’s Cascade
Price: €20 per person (flat rate)
Group size: up to 20 people
Footwear -please use comfortable walking shoes or boots, deisgned for tracks and trails of mixed terrain.
Clothing - please wear outdoor walking clothing that is suitable for all weathers. Bring along rain layers in your rucksack even if the outlook looks good - the weather is very changeable and we want you to be comfortable. Avoid jeans as they are very uncomfortable when wet.
Rucksack - handy for yuor essential items.
Food / Drink - we will stop for a rest break so please bring along your own water / drinks, and whatever snacks / fruit you wish to bring along too.
Please note that your safety is key and your walk leaders will change routes or cancel the walk if the conditions are felt to be unsafe.
